Our Saturday delivery option is here to make your weekend even better. It costs £6, and orders need to be placed by midday on Friday.
We don’t deliver on Sundays – having been busy baking and delivering tasty treats all week, it’s time for our team to have a well-earned rest and spend time with their loved ones!
Our cake-making is led by the principle of freshness, with no artificial preservatives in sight – meaning we couldn’t have complete confidence in them arriving in perfect condition at locations that involve a ferry trip! So, at present, we don’t deliver to Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man or the Scottish Highlands.
We hope that as we continue to grow and word of ‘Our Ellie’s’ legacy spreads, we’ll be able to deliver to towns and cities further afield, while maintaining the perfect balance of honest ingredients and unique flavour combos.
We’re sorry to hear this – please email us at contactus@elliewarburtonscakes.co.uk with your name and order number, and we’ll contact our couriers to see what’s happened!

Our cakes don’t like to be too cold, so are best not kept in the fridge!
Our cakes are suitable for home freezing up to 1 month. If freezing, the products are best stored in an airtight container and frozen as soon as possible after purchase.
To defrost, remove from the freezer and leave to defrost in the airtight container at room temperature.

As you can imagine, our cakes are really precious to us and, in turn, we want to make sure they're delivered in the best possible way to each and every customer. Because of that, we need to use certain levels of packaging to make sure they’re just
as delicious as the moment they left our bakery.
Our orders are all packaged by hand, and we proudly use recyclable materials wherever possible. However, our delivery packaging does include some elements that can’t be recycled.
We’re constantly looking to improve across all areas of the business and are exploring ways in which we can make our delivery packaging fully recyclable.
Our coffee cake recipe is suitable for vegans and vegetarians, however the cakes are made on a line that handles egg and milk.
Our current line-up of cakes isn’t gluten-free, but our bakers are constantly working on new recipes to ensure the widest possible audience can enjoy Ellie Warburtons Cakes.
Currently, all of our cakes are produced in a kitchen that handles tree nuts. Our Coffee with Pecan Cake also contains pecan nuts.

flavours, colours or preservatives.

We are, indeed! Our range is inspired by Ellie Warburton, who made the first-ever batch of Warburtons bread and cakes all the way back in 1876. Oh, and they sold out in under an hour, so we’ve got big shoes to fill!
We’re proud to say we’re still a family-owned business, actively managed by the fifth generation – Jonathan, Ross and Brett (Ellie was their great-great aunt).
Like Ellie, we’re not fond of sticking to the norm and are always striving to find a better, tastier, fresher way. You can read all about ‘our Ellie’ here.
