Following the success of our Skipton store, it felt only right to plant our Northern roots in new cities and bring Ellie Warburtons Cakes to even more cake lovers.

That’s why, after many inspiring discussions, there seemed no better location than the captivating city streets of York. Rich with culture, history and elegance – in everything from its people to its architecture – York feels like the perfect place to start a new chapter of our Ellie’s story.

We’ve made our new home in a beautiful 300-year-old building that holds a legacy as strong as the 146-year-old heritage of our brand! Stop by Ellie Warburtons Cakes York at 10 Stonegate to find our deliciously fresh cakes and an array of lovely drinks – the perfect lunch-break treat, or the best excuse to take a pit stop from your weekend shopping trip.

So, what can you expect inside?

Our brand motto says it all – Eat Cake. Be Happy. And our new York store lets you do just that!

Both inside and out, expect bright splashes of Ellie Warburtons signature yellow, on everything from the awnings and painted number ‘10’ at the side of our door, to the menus, cushions and even the flowers inside our brand-new store! After all, if you’re popping in, you may as well stay awhile!

With cosy seating for 30 customers, our store is the perfect place to settle when you need a hot drink and a slice of cake. Our full range of sweet treats is available to eat in, alongside special-blend coffees, teas, hot chocolates and a menu of other baked goods, including our new banana fruit bread!

Coffee, cakes and everything nice

If there’s anything we know how to do here at Ellie Warburtons, it’s bake!

We have samples aplenty of our wonderful treats for you to try in-store if you’re not sure which flavour really takes your cake! Pick up a slice for £3.50, or treat your loved ones and choose a box of four for £12 (or keep them all for yourself…we’ve all been there)!

And, that’s not all! If you can’t help but savour the sweet coffee aroma of Ellie Warburtons Cakes York, you’re in luck! Our very own coffee blend is also available to buy when you stop by our York store – available for £8 for 250g, and £32 for 1kg.

But don’t feel like you have to choose between cake and coffee – grab yourself a cup and one of our cakes for only £6!

If you can’t make it in to see us, but equally can’t wait to get your hands on our mouthwatering treats, our cakes are available to order online!
